The unique design of the CIRCUS DIVISION hook features a silicone-coated stainless steel core with no welding or exposed metal parts. It is rigged using a 40 cm ANCHOR LOOP passing through the central hole attached to a carabiner. We always recommend the use of auto-locking carabiners but more experienced users can use the considerably cheaper screw-lock carabiners. Both options are selectable at the time of purchase.

One of the noteworthy advantages of this cylindrical design is that it provides the option to install the silks using the safest and simplest knot of all, the CLOVE HITCH KNOT allowing both to keep the two extremities well separated from each other and to minimize the silks stress.

Twist the silk on itself in the central part, where you can find the product label, in order to make it more slim and easier to handle
Create a loop of approx. 10 cm diameter
Create a second loop of equal size right to the left of the first loop. It is important that the 2 loops are made as shown in the picture
Overlap the second loop (the one to the left) over the first loop. The CLOVE HITCH KNOT is done.
Slide the hook inside the knot. In this phase the silks is still quite voluminous
Pull the ends and adjust the knot so that it thinnes and is well positioned between the two silicone edges
Attach the 2 ends of the anchor loop to the carabiner

ONCE RIGGED, BY APPLYING YOUR WEIGHT, THE KNOT WILL FURTHER GET THINNER AND AUTOMATICALLY ORIENT ITSELF TO THE CORRECT POSITION.

The 65 mm diameter silicone body with its rounded edges guarantees the best protection against wear and stretch of the silks in respect of the criteria dictated by the aerial silks' manufacturer certification which recommends the replacement in case of wear and stretch marks.

The 1 cm thick silicone coating (The overall weight of the hook is 630 gr), in addition to safeguarding the silks, protects the steel core from any shock that may occur during use and transport.

The hook is certified for a working load limit of about 150 kg (150 dN) with a safety factor of 10: 1, which means that the steel core can be subjected to a load of approx. 1500 kg. Considering that the elasticity of the silicone coating dampens the effect of the load and the fact that the whole system is rigged using a nylon anchor loop certified to support up to 4500 kg (45 kn), we are talking about the strongest and safest hook for aerial silks on the market to date.

The hook can be easily hung using a 40 cm lifting ring, attached to the anchor point with a carabiner of your choice: either auto-locking carabiners for greater safety, or screw-lock carabiners for experienced users. Moreover, all our hooks have a special design that allows the knot to self-adjust and adapt to your weight during the initial use tests.
